This website is never going to try to give practical help or advice to young people coping with loss. If I’m honest – I don’t want to. My own grief is so alien to me, that I don’t feel in a position to try and advise or help other people. However, there are lots of fantastic charities and organisations that do offer help.
Here’s a list of places that might be able to help you out, however you’re feeling. Please drop me a line if you want to add to this list.
Hope Again – the youth site of Cruse Bereavement Care, Hope Again is a safe place for young people to learn from others who have been bereaved.
Grief Encounter – helping children through bereavement
The Loss Foundation – specifically focussing on bereavement to cancer
Cancer Research UK’s coping with grief page
My friend Sasha has started a website to talk more openly about mental health – it’s called Well Bein and it’s awesome, go check it out
